welcome to wherever you are

I want to send out a heartfelt "thank you" to all of my friends and family who supported and loved me during this incredibly hectic and fulfilling year. 2006 will go down in memory as the year I turned over a new leaf, the year I rounded the bend, and the year everything changed for the better.

Shots go out to Mom, my Dad, my brother Drew, John and Ben, Bret, and even Chad, but most of all the love of my life, Teri. Good or bad, I could never have gotten here without any of you. I'm happiest I've ever been in my life.

Many happy returns in this coming year, 2007. I love you all.

to Us

Ridiculous dancing to Spoon’s “They Never Got You” in your kitchen while we cook.

Touring the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum with you.

The photographs you brought to my apartment when I moved in.

Driving in a torrential down-pour all the way through New Jersey as you slept in the passenger seat.

Wrangling you a lemonade at Artscape.

Putting together that dresser you bought for you.

Rescuing you when you lost your sandal in the mud at your favorite beach in Massachusetts.

When my dad had his stroke and you were there.

My mom's non sequitors over how pretty you are.

Every crossword puzzle we ever finished together.

Buying and framing the show poster from our first date that hangs on your bedroom wall.

The birthday present of my favorite book.

Getting up at 8am and moving your car from a metered space.

All the times you tolerated me and my awful behavior.

Eggs benny and cough medicine when I was sick.

The wealth of details and minutiae left off this list that make our history together rich and meaningful.

Here's to the end of our first year together.

i can never go back to orchestra

Not after seeing the symphony from the grand tier box. Tchaivosky's "Pathetique" moved me to tears. Such stirring beauty - Lord, I sound like a poof. Anyway, it was good. Thank you, sweetie.
